Radius arm spacers are used on the front radius arms when clearance is required between the tyre and the guard, normally because larger tyres have been fitted, When you lift the suspension the front diff also rolls back, making this cleareance issue more obvious, increasing the need for these washers.

Clearances should be checked when fitting to make sure the panhard clears the diff on full compression, normally ok unless other mods have been done also.
